Interior Color Spray Robots Added
The contract for the Paint Shop Interior Color Spray Robot System—part of the 2025 Paint Shop Automation Retrofit and Parking Lot Paving Project at the Remote CV Shangrao Base—was signed in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, in January 2026 between JetGlow and Jiangxi Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd.
B2 Interior Spray Booth (Robotics Section): Installation of 10 new robots, comprising 3 IRB5500 paint robots, 3 IRB5500 lid-opening robots, and 4 IRB5350 door-opening robots with linear tracks, all equipped with ABB RB1000iSAD air atomizers.
B2 Interior Spray Booth (Non-Standard Section): Refurbishment of the existing manual booth structure, including replacement of settling grates and enclosure sealing, plus addition of robot foundation supports.
Modification of the existing paint supply system: relocation of manual spray gun stations and associated piping within the booth; conversion of manual spray stations into robotic spray stations, with added branch pipe return lines.
Body Fixture Development: Custom-designed body fixtures were developed based on actual vehicle dimensions and mounting hole angles to enable robotic opening of doors, hood, and trunk during painting, while also supporting manual access for touch-up operations.
